Chiranjeevi Sarja was an Indian film actor who appeared in several Kannada films. He died of cardiac arrest on 7 June 2020 in Bengaluru.

Chiranjeevi was famous as Sarja Chiru. He was born on Friday, 17 October 1980 (age 39 at the time of death) in Bangalore, Karnataka. His zodiac sign is Libra. He did his schooling from Baldwin Boys High School, Bangalore. To complete his graduation, he joined Vijaya College, Bangalore.

Relationships, wife and children

On 22 October 2017, he got engaged to his longtime girlfriend Meghna Raj, who is a South Indian actress. On 30 April 2018, he married Meghna in a Christian ceremony at St. Anthony’s Church in Koramangala, Bengaluru.

The couple married in a Hindu wedding ceremony on 2 May 2018 at the Bengaluru Palace Ground.

His wife was pregnant with their child at the time of his death.

livelihood

Before pursuing a career in acting, he worked as an assistant director with his uncle Arjun Sarja for about four years. In 2009, he debuted with the romantic Kannada film ‘Vayuputra’, in which he played the role of Balu. For this film he won the Innovative Film Award for Best Debut (Male). Later, he appeared in various South Indian films such as ‘Gandedhe’ (2010), ‘Kempegowda’ (2011), ‘Ajith’ (2014), ‘Amma I Love You’ (2018), and ‘Singa’ (2019) .

Death

On June 7, 2020, he started having severe chest pain and on the same day, at around 1.10 pm, he collapsed while talking to his father on the phone. He was immediately taken to Apollo Hospital in Jaynagar and doctors declared him brought dead. His last rites were performed on 8 June 2020.

On his demise, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa said,

Kannada film industry has lost a good actor.”

Former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy tweeted,

He was a shining star in the galaxy of artists. It is disappointing that he died at a young age.”
