Scott Richard Hoying is an American singer who rose to fame as a member of the a cappella group Pentatonix. So far, the group has won three Grammy Awards for their commercial success. They have had two number one albums and have had four songs on the Billboard Hot 100.
Pentatonix signed a contract with a record label after winning singing in 2011, but the label dropped the group because they didn’t believe the group could achieve success. The move benefited Pentatonix, as the singers quickly established a loyal fan base through social media.

Scott and his partner Mark Manio have been in a rather low-key relationship since they started dating in June 2017. However, they do engage in a lot of social media posts. On September 13, 2020, Mark shared an Instagram photo of the couple and attached the caption:
“Happy birthday to my sweet, handsome, caring man! I really don’t know how I was so lucky to have someone as special as you in my life. I love you now and forever baby.”

Scott and his Superfruit partner, Mitch Grassi, had known each other long before the days of Pentatonix and Superfruit. They met at a theater in Arlington, Texas, and played Annie together. They were apart for a year and a half before reuniting to form their everlasting friendship.
They weren’t immediately best friends, but they did share a rare bond. For example, they both knew that the other was locked up even before they came out of the closet. scott said Billboard:
“Yeah! We just got really comfortable with each other, and I think now we can say why, but back then it was just some kind of subconscious thing. I’m a big talker. I talk a lot. And Mitch is a good listener , and that has always been good for us.”
“I don’t know anybody as well as I know Scott,” Mitch added. The duo created the Superfruit channel as a celebration of their friendship. They noticed that people often commented on the chemistry the couple shared. Therefore, they decided to turn their fun friendship into something profitable. scott said Billboard:
“We had the best time, always laughing, joking. We had friends come up and compliment us on our dynamic and our friendship, saying, ‘I wish I had a friendship like yours.’ And I think we just decided that we wanted to show it to the world, our personalities.”
So far, Superfruit has 2.46 million followers, but Mitch and Scott haven’t updated the channel in over a year. The coronavirus pandemic and Scott’s move are some of the reasons the couple haven’t created content in a long time. However, we believe that their friendship is still going strong. They’ve been working together for Pentatonix, and there’s no sign they’ve fallen out. mitch said Billboard:
“We don’t really necessarily say what we’re thinking, but we know what the other is thinking, so it’s just non-stop words and phrases and inside jokes after another and we were constantly laughing.”
