Cheyenne Jackson shares a very “vulnerable” message with her fans.
On Tuesday (April 25), the 47-year-old actor, best known for his roles in American horror story, Call me Katand the Decendents movies – revealed on social media that he “fell off the wagon” after nearly a decade of sobriety.

“VULNERABLE is how I feel today. After almost a decade of sobriety, I went off the rails. I’ve been carrying a lot of shame,” Cheyenne wrote on Instagram along with a selfie while he sat in her car. “Afraid to share it. But I know it can help someone, so here I go. “I didn’t want to disappoint anyone who admired me as a sober person, so I’ve been burying it.”
“I took my eyes off the ball. I stopped doing what I had to do to stay on the path of my personal integrity.” Cheyenne continued. “I could blame Covid. I could blame it on the state of the world. Mass shootings. A nation divided. The death of my co-star. But the truth is that I thought I had everything under control.”
He added: “I thought, ‘I’ve got it.’ But not me. I am a work in progress. Always. Thanks to my support system. Thanks to @jamieleecurtis and many others who have been there to help me. It means everything to me. If you are struggling, you are not alone and there is a solution. I love you. And today I love myself and it feels great to say it. #progressnotperfection.”
After sharing her message, Cheyenne’s husband, Jason Landau, took to the comments to send her some love.
“Your power, your truth and your will is the reason I fell in love with you. Today I love you even more,” Jason wrote.
A few years ago, Cheyenne shared another candid post on Instagram, revealing that she had undergone five hair transplant surgeries in the last 14 years.
