Cher is being accused of kidnapping her son Elijah Blue Allman by his ex-wife.
Marie King filed court documents on Dec. 5, 2022, claiming the 77-year-old music icon hired four men to get Elijah, 47, out of his hotel room on Nov. 30, 2022 (the date of your wedding anniversary).

In court documents obtained by PeopleMarie, 36, claims she and Elijah were in New York City trying to “reconcile” their marriage after he first filed for divorce in 2021.
Marie says she and Elijah spent “12 days together, alone, from November 18 to 30, in New York, working on [their] marriage” when four men showed up at the hotel room to get Elijah out.
Marie also claimed that “one of the four men who took” Elijah told her that they were hired by Cher, who was concerned for her son’s well-being.
“I currently do not know the well-being or whereabouts of my husband. “I am very worried and worried about him,” Marie said in documents at the time. “I understand his family’s efforts to make sure he is safe and I want the best for my husband.”
In the same documents, Marie also claimed that Cher asked her to leave her house with Elijah without taking any of her belongings when he went to receive medical care at an undisclosed facility in August 2022.
Elijah is the second and youngest child of Cher, whom she welcomed on July 10, 1976 with the late Greg Allman. Cher and Greg married in 1975 and divorced in 1979. Cher is also the mother of her son Chaz Bono, whom she shares with the late Sonny Bono.
Elijah and Marie married in 2013.
Cher has yet to publicly respond to the allegations.
