Cash App Founder Bob Lee Knew His Suspected Killer, Police Reveal

An arrest has been made in the murder of Cash App founder Bob Lee.

The 43-year-old founder of the popular cash exchange platform was found stabbed around 2:35 in the morning on Tuesday (April 4) in downtown San Francisco, Calif. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.

On Thursday (April 13), San Francisco Police announced that they made an arrest in connection to Bob‘s murder, revealing that the victim knew his suspected killer.

Nima Momeni was taken into custody without incident to the San Francisco County Jail where he was booked on one charge of murder, San Francisco Police Chief Bill Scott shared in a news conference, according to CNN.

Chief Scott went on to say that Nimi, 38, from Emeryville, Calif. knew Bob, but share any further details on their connection.

California Secretary of State Records indicates that Nimi is the owner of Expand IT, which provides services including technical support, according to the company’s website.

Bob is survived by his wife, Krista, and their two children.
