Bruce Springsteen postpones all September tour dates to treat peptic ulcer symptoms

Bruce Springsteen has shared sad news with his fans.

On Wednesday (September 6), the 73-year-old artist announced that he was postponing all September dates on his Springsteen E Street Band Tour 2023 while receiving treatment for peptic ulcer symptoms.

“Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band have postponed all performances currently scheduled for September 2023, beginning with tomorrow’s show scheduled for the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, New York,” reads a statement on Bruce’s website. .

“Mr. Springsteen is being treated for peptic ulcer symptoms and the decision of his medical advisors is that he must postpone the remainder of his September shows,” the statement added.

Peptic ulcers are “open sores that develop on the inner lining of the stomach and the upper part of the small intestine. The most common symptom of a peptic ulcer is stomach pain,” according to the Mayo Clinic.

Bruce also shared a message after suspending his tour.

“Here at E Street, we are heartbroken to have to postpone these shows. First, apologies to our fabulous Philly fans who we missed a few weeks ago. We will return to resume these programs and more,” Bruce shared. “Thank you for your understanding and support. We had a great time at our shows in the United States and we hope to have more good times. We will be back soon. Love and God bless you all.”
