Brandon began therapy shortly after Thanksgiving, remaining optimistic about his outlook. Similarly, he expressed his desire to recover within two and a half years after undergoing therapy and returning to the board.
Brandon loved fishing
Besides skateboarding, Brandon had a great affinity for fishing. Brandon and a few friends spent their free time exploring the nearby waterways, fishing for snook and tarpon from their 15-foot boat. Plans to skate and fish were put on hold for several months after the cancer diagnosis. However, he eventually returned to his usual activities. At first, his mother respectfully declined the offer, asking the charity to help another child because Brandon already had everything he needed. In May, Brandon was contacted again by the Wish team and asked if he wanted to go flounder fishing in Alaska.
As an alternative, he was asked if he would go tuna fishing in San Diego. However, the Fort Pierce Bait dealer said his top three picks are clear: “White’s Tackle, White’s Tackle, White’s Tackle.” On June 16, 2023, Brandon entered the $4,000 Make-A-Wish game with his sister, mother, and a dozen friends.
