The show will feature Dr David Agus, who initiates sensitive conversations with famous Hollywood stars about their health issues. David Agus is a renowned oncologist and medical authority. A-list celebrities from Oprah Winfrey to Ashton Kutcher will join The Checkup with Dr. David Agus.
The all-new series will premiere exclusively on Paramount+ on December 6. The streaming service will make the first three episodes available to users with valid logins and memberships. According to the official synopsis of The Checkup with Dr. David Agus,

Dr. David Agus is not a new name in medicine. According to his own website, he is a world-renowned physician and pioneering biomedical researcher. He is also the founder and CEO of the Lawrence J. Ellison Institute for Transformative Medicine, and a professor of medicine and engineering at the University of Southern California. Dr. David Agus is an oncologist who leads a team of researchers dedicated to using and developing technology to help clinicians make appropriate healthcare decisions based on needs of each patient.

Dr. David Agus is also a writer, having written three New York Times bestsellers. He also has a new book titled The Book of Animal Secrets: Nature’s Lessons for a Happy and Long Life, to be published in March 2023. was awarded the Ellis Island Medal of Honor in 2017. He and his wife currently live in california. They have two children and a dog named Georgie.
