Bjrn Gulden has been selected as the next CEO of German sports equipment company Adidas. Gulden, who was previously the CEO of Puma, will succeed Kasper Rorsted. He will assume the position of CEO of Adidas AG in January 2023. Kasper Rorsted, CEO of Adidas since 2016, has decided to leave the company in August 2022 and will officially step down in November 11, 2022. Bjrn Gulden, the new CEO of Adidas, previously worked for rival sports equipment company Puma.
Bjrn was born on June 4, 1965 in the family of Arildo Gulden, a former international soccer and handball player. He has been the CEO of Puma since 2013, after serving as senior vice president of clothing and accessories at Adidas from 1992 to 1999. Gulden is also the CEO of the Danish jewelry company. In addition to being a professional athlete, Gulden studied business administration in Norway and earned an MBA from the Babson Graduate School of Business in Boston, Massachusetts. Gulden speaks several languages, including English, German and Norwegian.
