Bhavik Koladia is an Indian businessman who is the co-founder and group head of product and technology sector of BharatPe, an online money transaction application. Coladia is an angel investor in various well-known Indian IT companies such as Pristine Care, DigiFin and LendenClub. He came into limelight in early 2022 when BharatPe’s other co-founder Ashneer Grover accused Bhavik of misconduct. In March 2022, Ashneer Grover resigned as MD of BharatPe after the board accused Ashneer and his family members of illegally diverting company funds to fund their lavish lifestyle. - Bhavik Koladia co-founded Indian online payments application BharatPe in August 2017 in New Delhi. Bhavik and Shashwat Mansukhbhai Nakrani started a company named Resilient Innovation in 2018. Ashneer Grover, one of the co-founders of BaharatPay, went on leave from January 19, 2022, to March 2022. During this period, the internal audit and governance review of the company was conducted. By the board members of BharatPe in which it was revealed that there was fraud in the utilization of the company’s funds. This notice was sent to Ashneer Grover, who immediately resigned from the company. He said in response to the notice that the board should let him operate BharatPe as per his wish or they can buy his share in the company for Rs. 4000 crores. Ashneer Grover demanded the resignation of BharatPe CEO Suhail Sameer over this issue, Suhail was supported by Shashwat Nakrani, who is the co-founder and director of BharatPe. Bhavik Koladia and board chairman Rajneesh Kumar were accused by Ashneer Grover of misbehavior and misbehavior over phone on February 23, 2022. Ashneer Grover accused Bahvik of using foul language. - According to a media source, Bhavik Koladia was involved in credit card fraud in the US in 2015 and was detained by the US police for the same. The decision in this case was given by US District Judge Mark Hornak. Bhavik Koladia used the fake name “Bob Patel” from Monroeville, Pennsylvania and worked as an operator at the “Atwood Express” company in Oakland. He stole the identities of US Bank, Chase Bank, Discover Card customers and opened fake bank accounts in their names so that he could purchase diamonds and other valuable merchandise using the fake credit cards. These allegations were made against Bhavik Koladia by the US Justice Department in 2015.
