Beyonce reflects on the film ‘Renaissance’ and its impact, explains why it was ‘one of the most difficult projects’

Beyonce opens up about the huge success of her new film and tour documentary Renaissance: a Beyoncé movie.

The global icon’s film premiered last week to rave reviews and topped the box office with strong ticket sales.

On Wednesday (December 6), he took to social media to talk about the release. She thanked so many important people and revealed why the film was “one of the hardest things” she had ever tackled.

He also revealed a special connection between the release date and his beloved late Uncle Johnny.

“I am deeply grateful to AMC and everyone on the team who worked so hard on this film,” Beyoncé wrote on Instagram. “I can’t thank you all enough for your support. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done due to the short turnaround time. I practically slept through the editing, coloring and mixing sessions. The race against time continued to be able to release this film so quickly. But it was worth all the effort.”

She went on to write: “I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of love from my Hive. And WOW! I am so touched and encouraged by the amazing reviews!!! I love seeing everyone dressed in their most opulent outfits in theaters. Silent challenges still happen, even in the theater!! You all are making me laugh. Please keep that energy. I can’t wait to see what else they do :)”

“I also love seeing positive takeaways from people who weren’t my fans or didn’t know my story yet. People who had no interest in seeing my shows have now gained a deeper understanding and respect for everything it takes to be a RENAISSANCE woman,” Beyoncé wrote.

She added that she was “very proud” to release the film on World AIDS Day, a tribute to Uncle Johnny.

“I pray that I continue to do something that lifts all of you up the same way you continue to lift me up. While I am often critical and feel like my art is never finished, the pendulum swings. I feel gratitude. ‘We did it.’ We have the #1 movie in the country! And a 💯 on Rotten Tomatoes 🍅 🥹 And it’s thanks to you and your support! I humbly thank you,” she concluded.
