Bernard Shaw, the popular host of CNN, passed away yesterday at the age of 82. His family made the announcement on the morning of Thursday, September 8, 2022. CNN President and CEO Chris Licht paid tribute to Shaw, writing:

According to Licht, Shaw was the main host of CNN for 20 years, covering the presidential election as well as the First Gulf War live from Baghdad in 1991.
