Hell’s Kitchen is back for another fierce season, and this time it’s the Battle of the Ages. The participants of the 21st season will be divided into groups according to age. Gordon Ramsay, the celebrity chef, returns as a show judge and see who will endure the hell and win in this long-running reality show. O’Shay Lolley, a chef who used to cook for US President Biden, was one of the finalists of the FOX show. The show will premiere on FOX on September 29 at 8:00 PM ET.

The 42-year-old chef, who competed in Hell’s Kitchen, has cooked for a number of celebrities, including Vice President Joe Biden. He talks about his culinary experience in the BOREDinDE Podcast. As a child, he played with leftovers, often combining two meals to create something new. Later, Lolley enrolled at the Philadelphia Institute of the Arts, where he earned a degree in culinary science. When asked about his education, he said:
“Culinary science gives you a lot of useless information.”
Although the future Hell’s Kitchen participant has no favorite dishes, he often cooks Jamaican dishes. When asked about eating out, he replied that he would, even if he didn’t like the meal. However, he says that his arrogance as a chef sometimes shows up. He said that when restaurants found out he was a chef, they would try to give him a free lunch.
He declared:
“I don’t want a free lunch, and as a restaurant, I don’t want to take anything from you.”
Chef Lolley believes in giving back to the community, and last year taught cooking to young children at the Reed Refuge Center. In the classroom, the chef taught these children how to cook meals while taking precautions to avoid injury. He said he grew up with a gas burner, which can be dangerous if not handled properly. He hopes to educate young people on how to survive and cook for themselves if their parents or guardians are not around.
