Producer Benzino says he has an idea why 50 Cent has become Sean “Diddy” Combs’ biggest critic amid recent accusations and legal troubles.
During a recent appearance at We in Miami On the podcast, Benzino said the feud between the two rappers may have something to do with 50 Cent’s ex, Daphne Joy. The former couple shares a son, and after their split, Joy bonded with Diddy.
Benzino believes that 50 Cent still feels some anger toward Diddy over the situation with Joy. “When you see the circumstances in which Diddy messed with the mother of his baby, you know that had a lot to do with it,” Benzino explained. “If my girl and I break up, and then two months later he’s banging my girl, then he might still have feelings for my girl.”
Benzino then pointed out that 50 Cent is “salty” and constantly criticizes Diddy because of Joy. “A lot of black guys are going to try to play like you don’t,” Benzino explained. “But you’re going to be a little salty, you know what I’m saying? So he is… for me? He is a little salty.”

Although Benzino’s wife theory may be valid, 50 Cent previously criticized Daphne Joy after she was accused of being a sex worker for Diddy.
In his recent lawsuit against Diddy, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones claimed that Joy was among three sex workers who were victims of an alleged sex trafficking operation linked to Diddy.
Not long after details emerged about Jones’ legal allegations, 50 Cent threw shade at the mother of his 11-year-old son. “I didn’t know you were a sex worker, little sex worker,” he declared on Instagram. “LOL Yo, this s**t is a movie.”
Joy criticized her ex for his comments and launched her own accusation. “Let’s put the real focus on your truly evil actions of raping and physically abusing me,” she declared. “You are no longer my oppressor and my God will manage you from now on.”
Joy and 50 Cent dated between 2011 and 2012. They called it quits right after the birth of their son, Sire. Almost a decade after the breakup, Joy was romantically linked to Diddy.
