Ben Shephard is a British television presenter and journalist who works for ITV. Ben Shephard was the main presenter of the now defunct GMTV breakfast show and has been co-presenter of the ITV breakfast show Good Morning Britain with Susanna Reid, Kate Garraway and Charlotte Hawkins since April 2014.

Furthermore, in 1998 he also hosted Control Freaks on the channel. Shephard returned to Channel 4 in 2013 to co-host the cooking show What’s Cooking? He presented a series with Lisa Faulkner before leaving Channel 4 permanently on 24 May 2013.
Shephard presented the first three series of ITV2 spin-off show The Xtra Factor between 2004 and 2006, while Kate Thornton presented the main show on ITV. Shephard also appeared on The Xtra Factor – Battle of the Stars while hosting the show.
He left the show after three seasons after being passed over for the lead presenter role (which went to Dermot O’Leary following the departure of original presenter Kate Thornton) and was replaced by Fearne Cotton. Shephard was a stand-in presenter on This Morning from 2005 to 2011, replacing regular presenter Phillip Schofield.
Shephard co-hosted the reality singing competition Soapstar Superstar with Fern Britton in 2006. Shephard co-hosted Dancing on Ice Exclusive, an ITV spin-off series, in 2007. Shephard joined the long-running GMTV show in 2000, where she co-presented Entertainment Today with Jenni Falconer.
