Nikhil Kumaraswamy, also known as Nikhil Gowda, is an Indian actor who predominantly works in the Kannada and Telugu film industries. He is the son of former Chief Minister of Karnataka HD Kumaraswamy and grandson of former Indian Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda.

Nikhil started his career as an actor in 2016 with the Kannada-Telugu bilingual film “Jaguar” in which he played the role of ‘Krishna’. The film earned him the SIIMA Award for Best Debut Actor (Male) – Kannada.

Nikhil started his political career by contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Mandya district in 2019 as a JDS candidate. It was considered a safe stronghold for the Congress-JDS alliance. - In October 2006, Nikhil Kumaraswamy, along with his two friends Rahul Mahajan and Manu Sharma, broke beer bottles at Hotel Empire International at 3.30 am after they were refused food by the hotel staff, who had closed the hotel restaurant.
