Bejoy Nambiar is an Indian film director, story writer, film producer and screenwriter. His first marriage was to Juhi Babbar, daughter of Indian actor Raj Babbar.

In 2011, Bejoy and his family members were booked by the CBI in a case of fraud and forgery of Rs 5 crore. Earlier, Bijoy had taken a loan of Rs 4.58 crore from Union Bank of India. He forged the export bills and also withdrew the money. When his father was interrogated by CBI officers, his father said that Bejoy was a spendthrift. Bejoy had spent so much money on his ex-wife Juhi Babbar that his company got into financial trouble and he took a loan to maintain the financial balance in the company. However, a source close to Juhi Babbar has denied such claims. Later Bejoy’s father said that this loan was not for his son Bejoy but for his textile company Minar International Limited. However, the matter came to light after Nambiar had stopped paying the installments. Addressing the media, CBI officials said,
We have found incriminating evidence in the form of documents from both these places which corroborate the bank’s allegations. The Nambiars not only forged export bills but also forged shipping and landing bills when no exports ever took place. Now we will find out who were the people who helped him in this fraud.
