He then hid in a warehouse at Bathgate Avenue and East 183rd Street in Belmont, the Bronx, near his apartment.

However, the store owner stopped him from hiding behind the counter when he and others witnessed the attack but were unsure of the situation. But the store owner relented and left him behind the counter after seeing how scared he was. However, one of the gang members saw him and then dragged him outside where the other three gang members were waiting. After that, several gang members began stabbing him with large knives and machetes.
