B Praak is a Punjabi music director, composer and singer. He became famous with his Punjabi song “Man Bharya”. He is the son of popular Punjabi music director Varinder Bachan.

B Praak was born as Pratik Bachan on Friday, 7 February 1986 (age 36 years; as in 2022) in Chandigarh.
Born in a family with a musical background, Bachan was inclined towards music from a very young age. He always wanted to be a singer and often shared his wishes about singing with his mother. He studied at St. Xavier’s School, Chandigarh. When he was in college he used to make music with his mouth. He learned the basics of music direction from his father. Praak practiced music for about 10 years before stepping into the Punjabi music industry. In his early days he used to sit in recording studios for long hours to learn direction but people ignored him. It was JB Singh of Saraswati Recording Studio who provided him direction. Earlier they used to get only Rs. 30, out of which Rs. 20 rupees were spent on rent and expenses. Rs 10 on his meal.

B Praak’s uncle, Surinder Bachan, is also a music director and composer, who has directed and composed super hit songs like “Neendran Nee Aundiyaan” and “Bhabhi Diva Jaga”.

B Praak started his career as a music director and composer in 2008. However, he got success in 2013 with the Punjabi song “Soch”. The song was highly appreciated by the music fraternity and ultimately, he received the PTC Best Music Director Award in 2015. Subsequently, his collaboration with Punjabi lyricist Jaani gave the Punjabi industry super hit songs like “Do You Know”, “Horn” by Diljit Dosanjh. “Blow” and “Backbone” by Hardy Sandhu, “Oscar” by Gippy Grewal and Badshah, “Ik Vaari Hor Soch Laaye” by Harish Verma. In 2017, his composition ‘Soch’ was awarded the Most Romantic Ballad of the Year and Best Music Video Award.
In 2018, she made her singing debut with the song “Mana Bharriya”. This song became popular overnight and gave him widespread recognition. Her Bollywood playback singing debut was in 2019 with the song “Teri Mitti” from the film Kesari.

- His song Man Bharraya was a superhit. Praak told in an interview that many popular Punjabi singers including Jassi Gill and Amy Virk had approached him for this song. They also offered a huge amount for the song, but Praak decided to sing it himself.
- B Praak has a great relationship with Punjabi lyricist Jaani, singer Hardy Sandhu and video director Arvinder Khaira.
- He was very angry with T-Series when the music label launched the Hindi version of his composition “Soch”.
- His family and friends fondly call him Preeki. Apart from this, his name B Praak also comes from his nickname Preiki, where ‘B’ comes from Bachan and ‘Prak’ comes from Preiki.
