Diljit Dosanjh was born on 6 January 1984 (age 39 years; as of 2023) in Dosanjh Kalan, Jalandhar, Punjab. He belongs to an ordinary Punjabi family. His father worked as a bus driver in Punjab Roadways and earned around Rs. 5,000 per month. He did his early education from Sri Guru Harkrishna Public School, Ludhiana. He also studied at Al Manar Public School, Ludhiana to complete his 10th class. Diljit was inclined towards music from a very young age and started performing in Gurudwaras to fulfill his desire of singing.
