Arvind KP was born on Sunday, 8 December 1985 (age 35 years; as in 2020) in Udupi, Karnataka. Their zodiac sign is Sagittarius. Arvind was fond of motorcycles since childhood. When he was a child, he would sneak out of his house on his father’s scooter, ride the scooter across town, and then return home without getting caught. His interest in motorcycle racing was sparked when he was studying in 10th class and went to watch the Manipal Supercross motorcycle racing event where TVS racers were competing against Yamaha racers. Before this, he had only seen motorcycle racing on television, and this was the first time he had seen it live. Watching the exciting game live sparked the idea in his mind that he too could become one of those racers. The journey of a dream began that day. Now, after a career spanning over 15 years, Arvind KP has successfully made a name for himself in motorbike racing at the national and international levels.

livelihood
KP started his professional motorcycle racing career in 2006 by participating in national level motorcycle racing competitions. At that time his age was 19 years. That same year, TVS Motorcycle Company noticed him during the 2006 Gulf Dirt Track National Championships and signed him for the upcoming racing series. It was not a paid contract; However, he did get the opportunity to race for free. As he honed his racing skills, TVS awarded him a three-year paid contract followed by a two-year renewal. In 2011, he became the only Indian motorcycle racer to win a foreign Motocross Championship. In 2015, he participated in the Maruti Suzuki Raid de Himalaya (2500 km) competition and won all the off-road races except the Sir@Shyam Kothari Racing event. In 2016, he finished 25th in the Oulibia Rally held in Morocco. In 2019, he became the second Indian motorcyclist to complete the Dakar Rally, a motorcycle rally organized annually by the Amaury Sport Organization after CS Santosh (finished 36th in the Dakar Rally 2016). The Dakar Rally is considered one of the toughest rallies in the motorcycle racing sport.
During his career, Arvind has emerged victorious in more than 18 national championships, including dirt track, rallies and Motocross.

- KP has a scorpion tattoo on his right tricep and a star tattoo on his left shoulder.
- Before the Class 12 board exams, KP was promised by his parents that if he scored more than 80% marks in the board exams, they would buy him a racing bike. KP scored 84.7% marks and as a result, he was awarded a Yamaha RX-135.
- In an interview, KP revealed his bond with TVS Motor Company and said that the brand was with him even in tough times. In 2012, KP seriously injured himself during a racing competition in Sri Lanka. At that time his contract with TVS was about to be renewed. Considering the seriousness of the injury, doctors had said that his career was over. At a time when the threat of his career ending was looming, TVS Motor Company showed confidence in him. TVS Motor Company officials bought the contract papers from the hospital and incorporated him into the company, no matter how long it took them to get back on track.
