Angel Dugard was born from rape
Angel Dugard was born in August 1994 to Jaycee, a 13-year-old mother who was pregnant by her captor, Phillip Garrido. Although Garrido is technically Angel’s father, his relationship with Jaycee is that of a captive and a captor.
Angela’s mother was kidnapped by Garrido when she was 11 years old. He then raped and abused her for many years while she was in prison. After becoming pregnant with Angela, Jaycee was only given painkillers and shown some birth videos before giving birth on her own.

An 11-year-old girl was reported missing at a bus stop near Lake Tahoe in 1991. Although her abductor was not found at first, it was later revealed that she had been kidnapped. by a criminal named Phillip Garrido. Garrido’s case is not his first. He has a dirty criminal record.
Before Dugard’s case, he served 15 years in prison for harassment. According to reports, he raped women for 8 hours in a rented warehouse. He is also married to childhood friend Christine Murphy, whom he kidnapped after she threatened to leave him because of his abusive behavior.
Phillip, a kidnapper, serial rapist, pedophile and hebephile, was later declared a “sexual deviant and chronic drug addict” by a court ruling from 1976.
Angela’s mother is finally freed after 18 years
The Dugards were finally rescued in 2009. It all started when Phillip started showing up on the UC Berkeley campus with his daughters Angel and Starlet. Phillip’s behavior and activities were said to be quite unusual, which raised suspicions from university police when she began interacting with him.
When they started investigating, it was discovered that he was a convicted sex offender on parole. Furthermore, officers later discovered that Phillip, who claimed the children he visited at the university were his daughters, never had a daughter as stated in the previous documents. of his was filed during his previous conviction.
This prompted further investigation, which resulted in Phillip’s surrender on August 26, 2009. He was eventually convicted of one count of kidnapping and thirteen counts of sexual assault, resulting in 431 years in prison. When asked why Jaycee never tried to escape from prison, she spoke of physical abuse and mental manipulation. She said that Phillip convinced her that if she left, he would kidnap other girls, which she didn’t want.

Angel has lived a normal life for just over a year. She had to undergo a lot of counseling after being rescued from the kidnappers, to get over the trauma she and her sister and mother went through. He is currently living a happy but humble life.
