Following the news that Bobbie Jean Carter passed away unexpectedly at the age of 41, her younger sister, Angel Carter, is speaking out.
In a special tribute to her older brother, featuring photographs from their childhood, Angel Carter reflected on Bobbie Jean’s great sense of humor and joyful spirit. “When I was a little girl, I was your baby and you were my best friend,” she wrote. “Life was not fair to you, I know that. “Sometimes it feels like you don’t have a chance, no matter what.”
Angel then said that experiencing innocence rather than feeling the burden of trauma, pain and suffering is incredibly important for children. He then talked about his other brothers, Leslie and Aaron, who also died young. “I know why Leslie, Aaron and now ended up in the circumstances they did,” she continued. “I share that pain that we experienced during our childhood and I am sorry that you did not have the opportunity for a better life.”
Angel Carter encouraged everyone to break down barriers and reduce stigmas. He also seeks a society where seeking mental health support is met with understanding and encouragement. “This starts with our children and creating healthy conversation within the home.”
Angel Carter concluded the post by adding that the generational dysfunction stops now. “I love you BJ, you’re free now.”
Bobbie Jean Carter’s death comes just over a year after Aaron Carter passed away at the age of 34. Leslie Carter died in January 2012 at age 25.
Jane, the mother of Bobbie Jean and Angel Carter, announced the devastating news
Jane Carter, Bobbie Jean’s mother, Angel, Nick, Aaron and Leslie Carter confirmed to TMZ about Bobbie Jean’s death.
“I am shocked to learn of the sudden death of my daughter, Bobbie Jean,” Jane said. “And I will need time to process the terrible reality of this happening a third time.”
“When I can think clearly, I will release a more complete statement,” he continued. “But until then I would ask to be allowed to cry in private.”
Jane further stated that no matter how deeply a parent feels the loss of a child, a young child’s suffering from the loss of a parent must be greater. She refers to Bella’s granddaughter. “So, I would ask those of you who are understanding to pray for my precious eight-year-old granddaughter Bella, who previously lost her father and is now without her mother as well.”
The Carter family has not revealed details about Bobbie Jean’s death, other than that she passed away on Saturday, December 24.
