Anantjit Singh Naruka started his shooting career in 2012, after participating in competitions in 2013. In 2014, Anant participated in the Asian Shotgun Championship. In 2015, he participated in the 59th National Shooting Championship (Shotgun) held in Jaipur, Rajasthan. He defeated two national champions Man Singh and Mairaj Ahmed Khan. In 2015, Ananthjit scored 110 and 12 in the junior men’s skeet category at the 7th International Junior Shotgun Cup held in Orimatila, Finland. For the Indian team, Anantjit Singh Naruka, Angadvir Bajwa and Arjun Mann scored 110, 119 and 102 runs respectively. In the same year, Ananth participated in the second ISSF Junior Cup tournament held in Suhl, Germany. In 2021, he competed at the 64th National Shooting Championship held in Patiala, Punjab, India.
In 2022, he competed in the 66th National Shooting Championship event held in New Delhi, India.
In 2023, Ananthjit competed at the 2023 ISSF World Cup, finishing 23rd in the individual events at the ISSF World Cup Cairo and ISSF World Cup Almaty. He finished sixth in the mixed team event at the ISSF World Cup in Cairo.
In 2023, Ananjit Singh Naruka participated in the Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China and scored 58/60. In the team event, the combined score of Anant, Angad Veer Singh Bajwa and Gurjot Khangura was 355. Whereas, China won the gold medal and Qatar won the silver medal.

- Anantjit Singh Naruka’s personal coach has always been his father Dalpat Singh Naruka. He used to go to Jagatpura shooting range with his father and learn shooting techniques from him. Ananth and his father started traveling 130 km every day to the Oasis Shooting Range in Jaipur for his training. Anant’s family belonged to the royal family of Uniara in Tonk district of Rajasthan, so he was always surrounded by guns. His grandfather was also a shooter.
