Amanda Bynes Reportedly Rejected ‘Quiet on Set’ Documentary, Denies Nickelodeon Abuse

Although several of her Everything that co-stars made an appearance on Silent on set, Amanda Bynes wanted nothing to do with the new ID documentary.

The documentary particularly investigated the physical and mental abuse that various members of the Nickelodeon production team inflicted on child actors. Among those who committed the alleged abuse was famous producer Dan Schneider.

Many of the former child stars spoke out against Schneider and speech coach Brian Peck. However, one former child actress who was noticeably absent from the documentary was Amanda Bynes.

Sources tell TMZ that while Bynes and her parents, Rick and Lynn, were approached about doing the documentary, the three opted not to participate. A source even shared that Amanda, who doesn’t plan to watch the documentary, declined because she felt like she hadn’t had the same experience.

Other sources further noted that Amanda Bynes is grateful for her time at Nickelodeon. She also particularly acknowledged that her experience on her network led to the launch of her acting career.

Meanwhile, the media outlet was told that Amanda’s parents are private. They also want to stay out of the spotlight. However, unlike her daughter, they did see the documentary. Sources say they are saddened and upset by the allegations.

The family noted that Amanda Bynes did not experience what the other former child actors experienced. That’s why they felt there was no point in her participating in the documentary.

Among those who participated in the documentary was the colleague Amanda’s show star Drake Bell. He revealed that Brian Peck, whom Nickelodeon hired in the early 2000s, sexually abused him. Bell was responsible for Peck being arrested and sentenced to prison for his crimes.
