Omari Hardwick is the star actor who played the role of James ‘Ghost’ St. Patrick in Force. The muscular actor has also appeared in the a-team, Kick ass, for girls of colorand being mary jane. Hardwick has been an actor for quite some time, but only managed to rise to stardom after landing the role of him in Force.

Omari and Jae got married in a small ceremony in May 2012. The couple have been regularly criticized for their interracial relationship. Omari and Jae regularly clapped back the hate and didn’t shy away from showing off their strong relationship on social media. On July 12, 2017, Jae shared a photo of the couple on Instagram and added the caption:
“Today marks the 50th anniversary of the landmark case of Loving v Virginia. She made it possible for everyone to fully embrace her soul mate, regardless of what color they found her in. Although no one’s heart needs a rule to love who they love, (it will love anyway), this landmark judgment put an end to interracial marriage. . be illegal in the United States. Some of you repentant and insecure souls quietly or not so quietly wish it was illegal… Love ALWAYS wins…”
The couple is blessed with a daughter and son named Nova and Brave. Omari talks a lot about the love she has for her two children and how they add purpose to her life. On November 1, 2018, she posted a photo of him and his children and attached the caption:
“Dear Super Nova and Brave Boy, when you grow up you will read about your mom and dad. Some of these things will be true. Some of these things couldn’t be further from the truth… Dad will NEVER care about ANYONE more than I care about you two.”
He lost a son with Jae in November of 2008.
Race was an issue for Jae’s family, as they did not want her to date a black man. Jae’s family even disowned her for dating Omari. However, the couple persisted in their relationship and in 2008, Omari and Jae were expecting a child. Sadly, the couple lost their baby boy on November 19, 2008. It was a difficult time for Omari and Jae, especially since he was also struggling as an actor. He said in an interview with Lance Gross:
“The doctor let us know that if it were them, they would have aborted and we decided not to. So I put up with that for months in terms of not wanting to go to work and even having someone safe enough at home to say, ‘No, you have to go to work. And then it came to a place where we lost the baby. Ironically, the day we gave birth to the baby, they forced me to work.”
The loss nearly ruined Omari’s relationship with Jae, but Terry Crews intervened and convinced the couple to stay together. Unfortunately for Omari, she lost a sister and a brother in the span of 3 years. It was a difficult time for him, but he came out stronger and is grateful for the family he has left. He spoke with Lance Gross about the love he feels for his children:
“Man, I don’t know about you, but when I come home from a long day at work and I see my daughter, man. It’s like I don’t care how long or how challenging my day has been, seeing my little girl puts me in the best place I can be.”

Omari Hardwick was born on January 9, 1974 to Joyce and Clifford Hardwick. She grew up with three brothers in Decatur, Georgia. Omari was a dedicated poet and an excellent athlete during his time in high school. His soccer prowess earned him a scholarship to the University of Georgia.
Hardwick was immensely talented, but the conflicting advice he received from his parents made him second-guess every decision. Omari’s father encouraged him to be a businessman, but his mother warned him not to be the center of attention. Hardwick said ebony magazine:
“My father would say never apologize for the gifts you receive, but I had a black Catholic mother who came with the guilt that comes with it. I was also the second son. [in the family]so I was good leading from the No. 2 position. I had to think big.”
His mother’s advice stuck with Omari even as he started working as an actor. He forced her to hold back, and she nearly turned down his leading role in Force. If it hadn’t been for Jae’s intervention, Omari might not have taken on the role. Omari’s performance as James St. Patrick is one of the best on the show, and according to his co-star Larenz Tate, it’s impossible to say that Omari was hesitant to take on the role. tate said ebony magazine:
“I knew it was a transition for him because Omari is a very focused and humble person. But for me, Omari is truly a leading man and he is truly one of our leading men today. I respect him as an actor and when it comes to playing hardball. James St. Patrick is a complex character, but [Hardwick] it really encompasses her character in the role.”

One of the lowest points in Omari’s life was when she had to live out of her car after losing an acting job. Omari was going to appear in fool free city, but production was halted due to a lawsuit. Hardwick had left his other jobs to appear on the show, so he had no money to buy an apartment.
Help came in the form of a loan from Denzel Washington and his wife Pauletta. They gave him $1,500 so he could keep his car, but he was ultimately repossessed. However, the cash helped him get by and soon the papers began to arrive. He eventually paid the Washingtons after finding his feet, and they framed his paycheck.
