I believe it has become more challenging now to leave an impression on the audience. At that time there was only one channel and few artistes. People used to wait for that one TV play the whole week. Now there are so many channels and actors that they get overwhelmed with it all and it becomes difficult for the viewers to make their choice. There is tough competition for actors these days; You have to act, sing, dance and look good – all at the same time to be considered. If you don’t have anything that sets you apart from others, you can be replaced in a second.
