In 2015, a friend of hers took her to an open mic for a poetry event. Her friend told her,
Don’t do poetry, you are not made for it. But go for comedy open mics.
That program marked the beginning of his journey as a stand-up comedian. In an interview he said,
Luckily, The Hive was an intimate room at the time. Everyone knew everyone and they were all very welcoming. So, it was like playing pranks in front of your own friends instead of complete strangers. And that’s what keeps me coming back every Monday for Open Mic.”
His first comedy video on YouTube ‘UP is the Texas of India’ got a lot of popularity. She has appeared in various stand-up comedy shows across India. She owns a digital marketing agency.
Controversy
In 2019, she landed into a major controversy after cracking a joke on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in one of her stand-up comedy videos. His joke was,
This statue of Shivaji is a wonderful masterstroke by Prime Minister Modi ji. It will have solar cells which will provide electricity to the entire Maharashtra. It will also have a GPS tracker and will fire laser beams from its eyes to kill Pakistani terrorists in the Arabian Sea.

He was trolled badly for making fun of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The then Home Minister of Maharashtra, Anil Deshmukh said,
I have instructed CP [Commissioner of Police] Mumbai and IG [Inspector General] Take legal action cyber quickly. I urge everyone to maintain peace and the law will take its course.
Later, he uploaded an apology video on his Twitter account.

The matter heated up again in 2020 when Shubham Mishra from Gujarat posted a video on his Instagram account on July 11, 2020, in which he abused Agrima and harassed her for making jokes about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. After several complaints, Vadodara City Police detained him and tweeted,
Vadodara City Police took suo motu action in connection with an abusive, threatening video which was uploaded and shared on social media by Shubham Mishra. We have taken him into custody and have initiated legal process to register an FIR against him under relevant sections of the IPC and IT Act.”

- When asked in an interview, “Do you do any rituals before going on stage?” he replied,

- He shared his first joke which brought a lot of laughter, in an interview he recalled that joke,
This was a joke I developed, and I was really proud of: Hitler happened because his father disliked him so much. His father looked at him one day and said, “Will you succeed at anything? Will you start something and finish it? “Will you even finish a race?” And Hitler said, “Challenge accepted.”
