Pete Davidson is reintroducing Saturday night live After a months-long break due to the WAG-AFTRA strike, and he began his opening monologue!
The 29-year-old Bupkis The actor was a fan favorite on the late-night show until he left in 2022. He returned on Saturday (October 14) as a host for the first time alongside musical guest Ice Spice.
During his monologue, he joked about bonding with his sister by looking at her. game of Thrones and something a girl told him before his first stand-up gig that he’ll never forget.
He even revealed what his dream job was as a child.

On the subject of game of ThronesPete revealed that he didn’t know what he was getting into when he agreed to watch with his sister.
“I thought they were like dragons and stuff. And magic. Almost no dragons. A lot of incest. Tons of incest. So much incest,” she reiterated. “It’s a very strange show to watch when you’re trying to find common ground with your sister.”
While she thought it was “weird,” her sister loved it, which led to some confusion.
Pete highlighted his hometown, Staten Island – “it’s the only island in the world with a worse reputation than Epstein in some ways” – and how it affected his career.
Interestingly, when I was a kid I didn’t want to be a comedian.
“My dream was to be a construction worker. Was. I hope I work in a construction company for 8 years, then if I’m lucky I’ll fall off a ladder. Sue the city for $6 million and settle for $3. Marrying a girl I had a crush on in high school,” he joked.
What happened? Pete shared an “origin story” about how he hooked up with a girl in his car the night of his first stand-up show, which he had forgotten about. When he canceled her pizza plans, she acted cool and said something she’ll never forget: “Hey, maybe one day I’ll be watching TV with my husband and you’ll show up. And then I turn to my husband and say, ‘Hey, I fucked that guy.’ I remember saying, ‘What did you read in my diary?’”
Sadly, he added that she passed away before that could happen.
