Zendaya embraced the sci-fi theme of Dune: Part Two at the world premiere in London, wearing Thierry Mugler’s iconic robot-inspired look. On February 15, the actor appeared on the red carpet in Leicester Square with a stunning presence. He rocked a stellar space-age metallic ensemble from the legendary French fashion designer’s esteemed fall/winter 1995-1996 collection.
Zendaya looked mesmerizingly robotic in the futuristic ensemble, seamlessly pairing silver metallic armor with bold plastic cutouts that accentuated her bust, legs, and derriere. She certainly overshadowed the more sober appearance of her co-star Timothée Chalamet.
It seems that Thierry Mugler’s heirs approve of Zendaya wearing the robot suit in the Dune: premiere of the second part. On Instagram, the Mugler brand posted photos of Zendaya at the premiere.

Fashion fans raved about Zendaya robot suit
Fashion fans were thrilled when Zendaya appeared in the iconic robot suit at the Dune premiere. It was widely regarded as a tribute to the late Thierry Mugler, who passed away in 2022 at the age of 73.
“One of the best fashion moments of all time!!!!! Zendaya wearing Thierry Mugler fw95 couture at the Dune premiere in London,” a tweet on X appeared alongside images of Zendaya and a model wearing the Mugler suit.
“Zendaya in Thierry Mugler’s fall 1995 couture robot suit, this is literally a piece of fashion history and the fact that it is not a remake but straight from the Manfred archives! UGHH I’M SO SHOCKED,” another fan exclaimed.
“THIS is a crazy attraction,” another fan agreed. “The TRUE muse, already on her way to becoming a fashion icon,” a lover of Zendaya enthusiastic.
Of course, sci-fi fans realize that Mugler himself took inspiration for the outfit from a classical source. In Fritz Lang’s characteristic silent film, Metropolis, a robot built to look like a woman appears. The groundbreaking German film influenced future filmmakers such as George Lucas. He sewing machine (Machine-Person) bears a striking resemblance to Muglar’s design.
Zendaya, who plays Chani, Timothée Chalamet’s love interest in “Dune: Part Two,” attended a photo call for the film on February 12 in Paris. He was wearing a white wrap dress that exposed Alaïa’s abdomen. Earlier this month, she stunned onlookers in Mexico City in a colorful custom two-piece dress by London designer Torishéju Dumi in another photo shoot.
