A young Spider-Man 3 fan has gone viral after a hilariously adorable video of him doing the Bully Maguire dance at a party was shared online. Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, for many, is considered the most comic-book accurate portrayal of the beloved web-slinging hero. Tobey Maguire starred as Peter Parker between 2002 and 2007 and was set to appear in a fourth Spider-Man film that was ultimately canned by Sony in 2010. Audiences were therefore delighted when Spider-Man: No Way Home brought Maguire’s Spider-Man, along with fellow Spidey alum Andrew Garfield (The Amazing Spider-Man), back to the big screen last year.
Maguire’s Peter Parker had somewhat of a turbulent time throughout Spider-Man 1-3, having come face to face with a number of villains including Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock and Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin (who also both returned for Spider-Man: No Way Home). Spider-Man 3 saw Peter Parker come up against Topher Grace’s Venom, which resulted in Parker becoming infected by the symbiote, turning him into a meaner version of himself, leading many fans to refer to this iteration of Peter as Bully Maguire. This transformation ultimately birthed the trilogy’s most memorable scene, in which Peter does an amazingly cringe-worthy dance in the street, complete with arm rolls and hip thrusts.
Now, a young fan has been filmed doing the Bully Maguire dance while at a party, causing the sweet video to immediately go viral. Originally shared to Twitter by Fred Schultz, the incredibly wholesome video focuses on the young boy as he perfectly recreates the iconic scene, on his own in the middle of the dance floor. The video quickly garnered a lot of attention, with many praising the young kid’s spot-on moves. Check out the video below.

Spider-Man 3 performed generally well at the box office but is, for the most part, considered the worst film in the Raimi Spider-Man trilogy, despite the hilarious dance scene that it gave audiences. Following Maguire’s exciting return in No Way Home, rumors have been swirling that the star is keen to return to his role as Peter Parker in the future but nothing currently appears to be set in stone. The Spider-Man franchise has led to a number of meme-able moments over the years, with Sony even recently sharing a real-life recreation of the classic Spider-Man pointing meme with Maguire, Garfield, and Tom Holland to promote the upcoming digital release of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
If Maguire were to eventually return to play Peter Parker, it would certainly be fun to see some sort of call-back to the Bully Maguire dance scene, since it’s truly established Spider-Man 3 as a significant piece of comic-book film history. This wholesome video is a reminder of the positive impact comic-book heroes like Spider-Man can have on young kids, albeit in a somewhat less conventional way than one might expect. As for now, many are now wondering what other iconic dances this kid has in his repertoire.
