Wynonna Judd was born in Ashland, Kentucky in 1964. Her name is Christina Claire Ciminella. She was named Ciminella after Michael Ciminella, the man her mother married shortly after her boyfriend and Judd’s biological father, Charles Jordan, who died in 2000, left her.
Ashley Judd, the younger sister of this singer, is a famous actress. Ciminella and Naomi moved to Los Angeles with their daughters in 1968, but separated in 1972.
By 1976, she and Naomi were living in Kentucky, where she found inspiration in country music her mother had heard and learned to play guitar after receiving one for Christmas. In 1979, the two moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue music careers.

They have also released eight studio albums, one Christmas album, and two greatest hits anthologies. Naomi was forced to retire after contracting chronic hepatitis C during her 1991 farewell tour.
When the duo actually parted ways, she signed with MCA Records as a solo artist affiliated with Curb Records. And she reconnected with her mother during a 1999 New Year’s Eve concert to welcome 2000, sponsored by K-mart.
