According to Stars, a new dating program is coming soon on Discovery+, with individuals matched based on their birth charts. The first season of the show will premiere on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at 3 a.m. ET. Write in the stars with the following summary:
“Written in the Stars is a gripping new reality/dating series that puts the contestants’ love lives in the hands of the world’s greatest astrologers.”
Twelve single men will represent each of the 12 zodiac signs in this sociological experiment. These expats will come to Greece in search of love with the help of astrology experts.

The first season of Written by the Stars follows 12 strangers as they search for love.
On Written by the Stars, 12 single strangers looking for love come to a villa in Porto Heli, Greece, only to find out they’ve been paired with someone based on their birth chart . The show will air 10 “emotional” episodes. Written in the stars described by VICE as “Love Island meets Married at first sight, but has a horoscope.” Clara Amfo, DJ and presenter of BBC Radio 1, will host the first season. Clara told POPSUGAR about the upcoming program launch:
“I remember thinking, this is the dating show for me.” I believe in astrology; It is ingrained in our society. I once heard that Jennifer Lopez had a dance audition and specifically stated that no Virgins were accepted. But I don’t think I’ll go that far!”
Clara also believes that Written In The Stars is the ideal solution for modern dating, where we have “become a commodity”. She also believes the show can give them new hope to find love, as individuals have lost “patience” to form deep relationships. Amfo even believes that the show is airing at the ideal time because “we are in a place in society where [astrology] more acceptable” than six or seven years ago.
Michele Knight, Francesca Oddie and Colin Bedell, three astrologers who specialize in birth charts and astrology, will match singles using only their star charts. For Michele Knight, astrology is no joke, and the concept of the series is not a gimmick. She told Vice:
“I grew up in a wonderful family because my mother was clairvoyant,” he explains. “It has revolutionized my life, it has changed my life, it has saved my life.” I had a really bad upbringing and I’m pretty sure astrology guided me. My birth chart is the absence of my parents – it’s just as profound.”
The contestants will participate in several tasks to determine their compatibility. Once married, six couples will live together for the duration of the lunar cycle (about 29.5 days). There will be no removal from the program. The program will also have no winners or losers. However, contestants can leave the program if they cannot connect with partners or are substituted.
