Woman claims Diddy shot her in the face during ’90s nightclub shooting and wants case reopened

Sean “P.Diddy” Combs, the rap mogul who founded Bad Boy Records, has found himself in trouble this week. The legendary producer is connected to a sex trafficking ring, prompting the feds to raid his homes on both coasts.

Since the raid, multiple stories have emerged about Diddy abusing his power. One particular event that resurfaced was a nightclub shooting involving former Bad Boy artist Shyne. He attended a club with Diddy and his then-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez in December 1999.

During the performance, an altercation broke out and the rising artist pulled out a gun and began shooting in the establishment. The incident left three people injured and several witnesses said they saw Shyne brandishing a gun that night. But one of the victims, Natania Reuben, says it was Diddy who fired the gun.

“I literally saw them take out their weapons; He had a clear point of view. For God’s sake, they shot me in the nose. I confronted them directly, observed everything that occurred and described it vehemently to all parties involved,” Reuben said. “I have nine bullet fragments left in my face.”

Reuben wants the case reopened

Shyne was sentenced to 10 years in prison, which ultimately marked the end of his rap career. It is already a regrettable situation. But it would be even more unfortunate if the former Bad Boy artist was serving time for a crime he didn’t commit.

Reuben has testified for years that it was Diddy who fired the gun. But she says the hip-hop mogul’s influence was the reason she wasn’t initially believed.

“I had no reason to believe that anyone wouldn’t believe me,” he said. “But as things developed, it was a very short period of time where I realized that’s what was really happening.”

He also says the case needs to be reopened so justice can be properly served.

“We all had to go speak before the grand jury. JLo testified before the grand jury, as did many other people. (The criminal case) needs to be reopened, because if that is, in fact, the case, she was carrying the gun and lied to the grand jury. It needs to be reopened,” she added.
