In Clobberin’ Time #2, The Thing will travel to the X-Men’s mutant paradise of Krakoa for a conference on the “Mutant and Superhuman Interconnection.” However, Ben Grimm will be forced to team up with Wolverine as a villain from Clobberin’ Time #1 will follow them to the island, as a “battle for all creation” is teased. The Thing’s Cosmic Villain Has Already Been Teased – And Will Be A Powerhouse
The first issue of Clobberin’ Time has hinted at the villain The Thing will face off against in the series, as the tease reveals Ben Grimm and the Hulk will take on a group of Deviant Hordes and face the wrath of a Celestial. Considering Celestials are among the most powerful cosmic beings in the Marvel Universe, they would undoubtedly have the power to unmake The Thing and Wolverine and transform them at their whim.
The text preview for Clobberin’ Time #1 teases the adventures ahead for The Thing and Wolverine and hints at the Celestial continuing to wreak havoc in Ben Grimm’s life. However, the miniseries isn’t keeping things small, as the solicitation highlights the villain is setting the table “for a battle for all creation” in one of The Thing’s greatest adventures.
The THING travels to Krakoa for a symposium on the Mutant and Superhuman Interconnection. While there, he teams up with Wolverine and is confronted by the mysterious plunderer from issue #1 — and the table is set for a battle for all creation and possibly Ben Grimm’s greatest adventure.
The Thing and Wolverine are two of the most durable Marvel heroes who are often seen as impenetrable, even to the most powerful attacks, so to see them get so easily unmade in the cover art above shows that the threat they are about to face is more powerful than either even could have imagined. Readers can see The Thing and Wolverine battle against a significant cosmic threat in Clobberin Time #2 by Marvel Comics, which arrives in comic book stores in April 2023.
