Season 11 of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta (LHHATL) currently airs every Tuesday on MTV Tuesday. The two cast members had a heated argument in the final episode, which aired on August 29, 2023.
Erica Mena sat down on Tuesday’s episode of Shekinah and Spice to discuss Spice’s relationship with her ex-husband Safaree. While the conversation started off on a positive note, it quickly turned sour when Spice made comments regarding Erica’s children.
Erica Mena, who had previously been slammed for keeping her oldest son out of the spotlight, flew into a rage and overturned a table where two LHHATL cast members were sitting.
Production staff quickly intervened and separated the two. Although there was no physical contact, Mena used a racial epithet towards the Jamaican singer, calling her a “blue m*nkey”. Shortly after the episode aired, the franchise released an online statement announcing Mena’s departure from the series.

Physical aggression is nothing new to viewers of the show, who have witnessed cast members throwing punches, drinks and other objects. However, what happened next was unusual, as Erica Mena shouted a racial slur at the Jamaican musician in a fit of rage.
She called Spice a “blue m*key,” which infuriated fans and cast members. Shekinah, who was on the scene, told the cameras that this was completely false. She also mentioned that Erica Mena has black children, specifically Jamaican children, and wondered how she would feel if the same statement was applied to her children.
