Next Level Chef returns for a second season on FOX after Super Bowl LVII on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at 10:30 p.m. ET. However, the show will return to its regular time slot on Thursday, February 16, at 8:00 p.m. ET. Three world-renowned chefs, Gordon Ramsay, Nyesha Arrington and Richard Blais, will compete in the culinary competition as mentors to 18 outstanding chefs divided into teams of three. Shay Spence, a travel writer, chef and entrepreneur, is one of 18 chefs who will join the second season. Arrington will be a member of the Fox cooking show.

Shay Spence, food and travel writer, consultant and social media developer will join Season 2 of Next Level Chef. Although he’s built a career writing about cooking and travel, he’s still passionate about it. However, this was not the case when he was just starting out. As a college student, he attended Tulane University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and government in 2012. On the other hand, Spence quickly changed his mind and applied to the Institute of Education. Culinary to study culinary arts and management. He graduated from the institution in 2014.
He interned at many organizations during his time at Tulane, including the Trust for the National Mall, where he worked as a marketing intern for three months. After that, he worked as a campus supervisor for world students. Spence was tasked with liaising between university professors and a nonprofit that helps students travel to less developed countries to “write success stories.”
In 2014, he worked as a Test Trainee for Good Housekeeping and Every Day with Rachael Ray after graduating from culinary school. The cast of The Next Level Chef Season 2 also worked as an assistant editor before taking on the position of food editor for People Magazine, where he stayed for six years until leaving in 2021. Shay Spence has a significant following on social media, with over 141k followers on Instagram. He often uses the site to share food and travel information, including recipes inspired by other famous dishes or created by himself.
The Super Bowl Super Snacks series is hosted by the Season 2 Next Level Chef contestant. So far, the show has had eight seasons, with the latest addition being the garlic butter chicken wings. The social media influencer will join the cast of Nyesha Arrington in the next season of Chef Levels. Alex Morizio (48), April Clayton (39), Nuri Muhammad (22), Omallys Omi Hopper (39) and Pilar Omega will be in the group (38).
Blais team members Christopher Spinosa, Darryl Taylor, Kamahlai Stewart, Matt Groark, Mehreen Karim and Tineke Younger are among the other chefs who will appear on the show. He will also face Cassie Yeung, Mark McMillian, Michelle Calcagni, Preston Nguyen, Tucker Ricchio and Vincent Vinny Alia from Team Ramsay.
