Rudy Garcia’s only wish is to dance.

Rudy Garcia, an American dancer and director born in Miami, Florida, is one of eight dancers who will be participating in Netflix’s upcoming dance challenge. Although he has always been involved in art and all things creative, he said in an interview with Voyage MIA that he could never have imagined working in the arts when still young. In the interview, he said that his father signed him up for karate lessons when he was 8 years old, and by the time he was fourteen, he was already wearing a black belt. He added that the framework and discipline they provided prepared him for the dance.

When asked when he started performing, he said:

“By 2009, my aunt, Susie Garcia, started her own dance school. I was ready to take the risk and signed up for a dance course.” for the rest of my life.”

The 100 Jump contestant said it was “natural” for him and that he worked hard because he knew he wanted to be the biggest. Rudy attended the New World School of the Arts, but was rejected on his first audition for that school. He just wanted to dance, but after high school, he wasn’t sure what he wanted to do. After thinking for a while, he decided to register in New World. However, he failed to impress the professor during the academy rehearsal because he arrived in a sweat and was unaware that panties were required for the audition.

However, 3 months later, the Dance 100 member returned and received approval. In 2017, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from that institute. When asked about his college experience, he said:

“Those four years were the most difficult period of my life because I was at the same time at university, teaching and training at my aunt’s ballet school and performing professionally. During this period of time, I had the opportunity. The association works with some of the biggest Latin artists in the world, including Maluma, J Blavin, Daddy Yankee, Ricky Martin, Marc Anthony, etc.”
