Robert Pera is the founder of Ubiquiti Networks, a global communications company, and owner of the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies. Pera’s venture and purchase of the Memphis Grizzlies nearly fell through in 2012 when Ubiquiti’s stock price plunged as much as 75%. Then NBA commissioner David Stern allowed him to go ahead with the purchase, hoping Pera would turn Ubiquiti’s fortunes around.
Pera worked out Ubiquiti’s woes and pumped cash into the Memphis Grizzlies franchise. He financed facility improvements and player salaries, which made the Grizzlies regular playoff contenders.
Unlike his fellow owners, Robert is a reserved character who prefers to run the franchise from a distance.
Pera has kept his personal life private and has not been linked to any partner.
Robert Pera amassed his fortune away from the spotlight. He is rarely seen and keeps his personal life a secret.
Due to the lack of information about his life, we assume that Robert Pera is single. We suspect Pera was focused on his career and building the Grizzlies into a winning NBA franchise.
