Alex Pietrangelo, a well-known defender, is a devoted husband to his wife Jayne and a caring father to their four children. He works hard to optimize their educational opportunities by balancing recreation with learning. Despite the perks of motherhood, he admitted to cleaning regularly while toilet training. Alex says he likes spending time at home with his wife and family, despite how demanding children can be.

Former captain of St. Louis Blues Alex Pietrangelo said his daughter Evelyn is to blame for his absence from the 2022 games. He said she was critically ill, with the flu which had progressed to encephalitis. This disease caused swelling and lesion of the brain, resulting in the loss of all motor functions, including eating, walking and speaking. Pietrangelo and his wife faced uncertainty and worry as they dealt with their daughter’s health issue.
Evelyn’s condition improved when she was discharged from the hospital. Pietrangelo expressed gratitude for discovering her surprising ability to walk again just days after returning home. Despite his commitment to hockey, Pietrangelo made it clear that his top priority is staying by Evelyn’s side during her recovery. While Evelyn recovers and resumes his normal activities, Pietrangelo returns to his hockey career with renewed vigor.
