After many losses, Canadian actor Alexander Ludwig and his wife Lauren are expecting their first child. On Saturday, February 11, the 30-year-old actor took to Instagram to share a mirror image of the couple stroking Lauren’s pregnant belly while their dog Yam sat beside them.
Accompanied by that, the actor left a long caption:
“It’s been a long journey and this time we want to wait until things look positive.”

They announced that the baby will be born in May 2023.
Lauren Ludwig, wife of Alexander Ludwig, is the inventor of their sexist jewelry business.
Lauren Ludwig was born on December 16, 1991 in Canada. According to her Instagram account, she is the creator of THEIR, a gender-neutral jewelry company that uses recycled materials. She oversaw marketing efforts for VRAI, a jewelry and luxury goods company in Los Angeles. On a personal level, Alexander Ludwig and Lauren announced their love affair on Instagram in July 2020. The Hunger Games actor proposed to her in November of the same and the couple got married. In December 2020, they married at The Lodge, not far from Salt Lake City.
Alexander Ludwig announced the news on Instagram, writing:
“We decided to run away. It was a tumultuous year, but it definitely made things right. Life is too short and I don’t want to go a day without calling a beautiful woman. This beauty is my wife.”
In a recent Instagram post announcing their pregnancy, Alexander Ludwig revealed that the couple had suffered three miscarriages before their current pregnancy, “but each of those losses has taught us about who we are. to each other and to each other.” However, they reassure abortion victims that they are not alone and that “there is light on the other side of your journey”. Lauren revealed in a public Instagram post in May 2022 that the couple had suffered a third miscarriage.
“Last week @alexanderludwig and I had a third miscarriage. I decided to share because I don’t believe there is any shame in talking about it. I want to let people know how common miscarriages are and they shouldn’t feel embarrassed.”
She went on to say that after such a traumatic loss, she discovered that she was not alone and that, while that is common, “it hasn’t been talked about enough.”
“Perhaps we would feel less alone and less guilty if we talked more about these things. I believe knowledge is power and I want to start sharing it more.”
Alexander Ludwig will appear in the future in Marked Men and The Covenant.
