When Jaheim burst onto the music scene, he earned the nickname “R&B thug” due to his fashion choices. Jaheim looked more like a gangster rapper than an R&B singer, but when he entered the booth he emitted a voice reminiscent of the soft voice of Luther Vandross.
Jaheim’s ghetto upbringing featured heavily in his music, and the first three names on his albums include the word Ghetto. ghetto loveher third album, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. Instead, her latest album, fight loveflopped when listeners tired of Jaheim’s usual “fighting” narrative.

By their high standards, fight love it was a failure. He debuted at number 24 in the billboard 200 chart.
The failure had nothing to do with Jaheim’s voice and everything to do with the message of the songs. Across seven albums, Jaheim’s songs about scams and paternity disputes bored fans.
Jaheim then exposed himself to ridicule when he debuted a new hairstyle. The singer was not impressed when Charlamagne Tha God tagged him “Donkey of the Day”.
She tried to applause back, but her responses didn’t garner enough support. She probably would have received more endorsement if Charlamagne’s rejection came during the height of Jaheim’s success.
Unfortunately, Jaheim’s initial success did not generate enough financial gain. jaheim said all hip hop that he did ‘basically nothing’ from the albums he released.
She created her record label Julie’s Dream Music Group in 2014 to have more control over her music. In 2017, she said page six that he was content with the power his label had given him. “I love the business, I just don’t like certain people in the business,” Jaheim said.

Jaheim faces animal cruelty charges and has asked Usher for a battle
In September 2021, Jaheim was charged with animal cruelty after police found emaciated dogs at his facility. One of the dogs was in such bad shape that it had to be put down. Officers found six dogs in animal cages in the driveway and nine inside the home.
“One of the dogs located was initially unresponsive in a water-filled cage and subsequently had to be euthanized,” prosecutors said. “Additional dogs were found inside separate crates that were partially filled with several inches of water and dog feces.”
Police cared for and fed the dogs until animal control arrived. Jaheim was then arrested for an unrelated probation violation warrant and two municipal warrants.
While waiting for the outcome of his cases, Jaheim wants a VERZUZ battle with Usher. It’s unclear where Jaheim got the idea from, but he expects to face Usher in mid-February 2022. Jaheim presented his challenge through Instagram:
“Let’s settle this once and for all. Someone did it! Let’s get all the pawns out of the way! King move, but if you’re scared, I’ll just say checkmate! I’ll give @usher 1 month to step up. Nothing Personal is one of the best. RESPECTIVELY.”
In the comments, Jaheim urged fans to cheer for the battle. “FANS CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN IMMEDIATELY,” he wrote. It seems unlikely that Usher will respond to Jaheim’s challenge.
He has been ridiculed for supporting Trump and allegedly being an Uber driver
Jaheim has experienced intense ridicule on the internet in recent years. In 2018, Jaheim debuted another new look on Instagram, in which he appeared smaller than he used to be.
Fans suspected that drugs and alcohol had contributed to the weight loss, but Jaheim denied that drugs had anything to do with it. Instead, he pointed to a meatless diet as the reason for his transformation.
She then shared a weird cooking tutorial that included whole banana peels as ingredients.
By sandra rose, an Instagram user had reported that Jaheim had taken him on an Uber ride in Atlanta. Jaheim allegedly told the user that he had run out of money while he was visiting a relative in Atlanta and that he would drive until he had enough money to go home.
The singer reportedly hoped to be back in the studio soon, but had to drive to survive in the meantime. Vin Rock of the hip hop group Naughty by Nature quickly denied the rumor.
“That report is false,” Rock said. Heavy. “He is a Jersey native and super talented. Jaheim’s brand is so strong that he could earn $5,000 a show if he wanted to. He could easily bring home $15,000 a week.”
Jaheim had the opportunity to prove the doubters wrong at the June 2019 St. Louis music festival, where he was due to perform. However, Jaheim did not show up for three nights in a row without an explanation.
He faced ridicule and criticism on social media for all of the above, but none of it could compare to the backlash he received for endorsing Donald Trump in 2020. He praised Trump for “saving a lot of people” and attacked the Democrats for spreading misinformation. Part of the long legend of him read:
“I just want to apologize to @realdonaldtrump for all the misinformation since he has been in office. We the people have turned our backs on this great man who has been working effortlessly to restore balance to the Republic and hasn’t even gotten a paycheck.”
The internet criticized him for his comments, but they didn’t stop him from publicly endorsing Trump again. When it became clear that Trump would lose, Jaheim posted an impassioned message on Instagram criticizing supporters of the Democratic Party. He ended his post with this warning:
“Grandma used to say that you never know what you have until you lose it. Oh well, everyone made her bed, now you have to lie in it. America full of hateful pride. Very soon we will realize when it is too late to cry. Laugh now, cry later, fuck up your chance to be that much bigger.”
