Last Chance U: Basketball Season 2 follows the trials and tribulations of the ELAC Huskies after the successful 2019-2020 season described in Season 1. At the end of Season 2, many fans wondered what key Huskies key players would become. like people. Many of these players made the decision to change careers after the season. Demetrius “DC” Galip II
Demetrius Calip II, nicknamed DC, struggled throughout the series’ early episodes. In episode 2, he is shown to be very conceited, which often gets him into trouble and even gets kicked out of the training ground. A few episodes later, DC said in an interview that he felt he was living in his father’s shadow. His father, Demetrius Calip, turned pro and played in the NBA (for the LA Lakers). Unlike many other players this season, DC did not move to another team and stayed with the Huskies through the end of the 2022-2023 season.
dezmond washington
Dezmond Washington is the returning athlete in Season 2 of Last Chance U: Basketball. Unlike the other players on the team, Dezmond is both a father and trying to be successful on the court. Coach Mosley later commented on Dezmond’s return: “The only returnee is Dez Washington. But now he’s been asked to be the leader.” After the Huskies finished their season, Dezmond moved to another team. As of this writing, he is currently playing for the Golden Eagles at the University of Minnesota Crookston. He also said that, in addition to playing basketball in college, he is pursuing a general education.
Brian Penn-Johnson
7-foot-1, 235-pound Huskies Center is the rookie this season. ELAC will be Brian’s fourth school to play basketball, after playing for LSU before transferring schools. Bryan also discussed his struggles with homelessness on the show. In Season 2, Bryan will say that he chose ELAC because he felt he needed to regain his confidence and Coach Mosley was the key to that. Like many players in the series, Bryan has done enough with the Huskies to earn him several offers from other companies. He currently plays center at Cal Poly.

Like most of the players this season, Josh Phillips is new. Phillips initially played at the University of Portland in 2018-2019 before joining the Huskies as a forward. Joshua, who has excelled on and off the court, told Coach Mosley in Episode 6 that he got A’s and B’s in all of his classes. During the season, Josh also talks about living with autism and how it affects his life. Joshua left Los Angeles after finishing Last Chance U: Basketball season 2. He currently plays for Grambling State University Tigers in Louisiana.
Tomorrow
Shemar Morrow had difficulty learning throughout her life. In episode 1 of the new season, he mentioned that it was difficult for him to graduate because there were so many things happening in his life. His frustration with life even resulted in him not appearing in Episode 3, much to his teammates and coach’s disappointment. However, Shemar continued to play basketball. Like DC, he will stay with the Huskies after Season 2 and will play in the 2022-2023 season. Coach Rob is happy that Shemar is still on the team, saying he has “Gifts that other kids don’t have.“
What happened to the other Last Chance U: Basketball S2 players and coaches
In addition to the key players on the Huskies’ roster for the 2022 season, several other players and coaches associated with the team have made major changes since the program. For example, Damani Whitlock initially joined the Huskies as a point guard. However, in episode 1 of the new season, he encounters a health problem related to his heart health. However, he overcame the difficulty and continued to play for the team. After playing for the Huskies, Damani will move to another team. He currently plays the point guard for the Texas A&M-Texarkana Hawks alongside Huskies teammate Idrissa Sow.
Linebacker Richard Wilson has been on the bench for the Huskies throughout the 2021-22 season. However, he made one start and averaged around five points per game. He also continued after season 2 ended. He currently plays for the NAIA Florida Memorial University Lions. Justin Gladney also plays defender for the Huskies this season. However, unlike Richard Wilson, he chose to stay with the Huskies and could appear in season 3 of the show.
The Huskies coach has also recently made some career changes. Coach robson had a great season Last Chance U: Basketball, leave the huskies. Instead, he chose to be the head coach of the basketball team at Miracosta Community College in Oceanside, California. However, the remaining two coaches decided to stay with the team. John Mosley will continue as head coach of the ELAC Huskies, marking more than a decade of leadership. Assistant coach Ken Hunter also decided to stay with the team.
