What are the top 10 countries according to US news and world report?

US News and World Report jointly announced the best countries in the world, and Switzerland is once again at the top of the list.

These countries are ranked taking into account more than 70 factors. The ranking is followed by Canada in second place with India in 30th place with the highest scores in the heritage and relocation categories.

Here are 10 countries that passed all the rigorous requirements:

How are these rankings calculated?

US News states that this ranking is calculated based on the attributes of 73 countries. These attributes were developed and organized by marketing and communications services firm WPP, brand analysis tool BAV and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

US News specifically mentions Professor David Reibstein, who played a major role in the creation of the attribute.

These attributes were then presented in a survey of 17,000 people worldwide from March 17, 2023 to June 12, 2023.

Participants were asked to indicate whether or not they associated each attribute with a specific country.

The higher a country scored on an attribute, the more likely that country is considered to exemplify that characteristic.

These 73 attributes were further converted into a general scale so that all countries could be compared.

Furthermore, the attributes are grouped into 10 thematic subcategories, which are:

• Adventure
• Agility
• Cultural influence
• Entrepreneurship
• inheritance
• Drivers
• Open for business
• Power
• Quality of life
• Social purpose

The sub-ranking score for each country was then determined by averaging the scores the country received in each of the attributes.

1. Switzerland

With a GDP of 808 billion, Switzerland scores quite high in many categories compared to other countries.

The country has a fairly low unemployment rate, a strong economy and a skilled workforce.

According to the CIA World Factbook, Switzerland has the 19th highest gross domestic product (GDP) per capita in the world. A country’s economy is driven by a number of factors, including:

• Low corporate tax rates: Switzerland has some of the lowest corporate tax rates in the world, making the country an attractive point for businesses.

2. Canada

Moving up from 3rd to 2nd place, Canada is known for its high-tech industrial society. US News mentions that trade with the US in the 1980s and 1990s gave the country a high standard of living and that the countries are now each other’s largest trading partners.

The main driver of the country is its service sector, and it is also a significant exporter of food and minerals.

3. Sweden

One of the largest countries in the European Union by land mass, Sweden ranked third as the best country in the world for its neutrality during the war.

US News mentions that the country follows a model similar to that of the Nordic countries, whereby countries have large capitals and use large amounts of money for public services.

The country certainly has higher taxes, but they are gradually declining. Sweden has easy access to advanced infrastructure and transportation networks along with free healthcare and college education.

Swedes are also known to be quite generous. According to US news, “The Swedes are one of the most generous people in the world, donating around 1 percent of their gross national product to humanitarian aid programs every year.”

4. Australia

Australia is known as a wealthy nation that has a market economy with a high GDP per capita.

The country took fourth place due to high agility among people. The country has a high rate of participation in sports activities. According to the Clearinghouse For Sport, more than 41% of Australians aged 15+ participate in a sporting activity each week.

This has contributed to Australia having one of the highest life expectancies in the world

5. United States of America

The United States of America is a federal republic, which means that it is a union of 50 states that share central government. The US has the world’s largest economy by nominal GDP and the second largest by purchasing power parity (PPP). It is also the most technologically powerful economy in the world.

The US is also an exporter of a wide range of goods and services, including:

6. Japan
