We love seeing Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer together again!

The Oscar-winning actresses worked together in Aid and Viola was present to honor Octavia in City Year Los Angeles Spring Break: Destination Educational Event on Saturday (May 6) at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California.

Octavia and Los Angeles Rams Chief Operating Officer Kevin Demoff, both members of City Year LA’s board of directors, were honored at the event.

Octavia received her honor for “advocacy and commitment to the thousands of Los Angeles public school children who directly benefit from having a City Year mentor.”

Other celebrities attending the event included Tiffany Haddish, Yvette Nicole Brown and Chloe Bailey, who gave a special musical performance.

“What a night! I’ve been attending @cityyearla’s Spring Break event since 2011 and am absolutely blown away every year. The work being done to help kids in our Los Angeles schools is incredible. I know how essential the education and I feel honored to be a small part of this team. This is exactly why I knew I needed to be on the board of #CityYearLA and support this organization in any way I could. I am immensely grateful to have been recognized last night by City Year LA; I’m the one applauding you. Thank you so much to everyone who did such a beautiful job organizing this wonderful event,” Octavia wrote on Instagram.
