Vijayveer started shooting at the age of eleven and took professional training from his coach DS Chandel. He has participated and won many national and international shooting championships. In 2018, Vijayveer made his international debut in the 25m Standard Pistol Men Junior at the ISSF Junior World Cup held in Suhl, Germany, where he won the gold medal. In 2021, he won three gold medals at the World Championships held in Lima, Peru. Vijayveer Sidhu represented India in the 19th Asian Games (2022) to be held in Hangzhou, China in 2023. He won a bronze medal for shooting in the men’s 25 meter rapid-fire pistol team event along with his teammates Anish Bhanwala and Adarsh Singh. However, Vijayveer could not be among the medal winners in the 25m rapid-fire pistol men’s final shooting event and finished fourth with 21 points. At the 2022 Asian Games, the Indian men’s trio finished third with 1718 points, while China earned the gold medal with 1765 points and South Korea won the silver medal with 1734 points.
