Vijay Inder Singla is an Indian politician and veteran member of the Indian National Congress (INC). He served as the Member of Parliament from Sangrur Lok Sabha constituency of Punjab from 2009 to 2014. Singla is also a former member of the Punjab Legislative Assembly.

Vijay Inder Singla was born on Wednesday, 1 December 1971 (age 51 years; as in 2022) in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. Their zodiac sign is Sagittarius. He studied till 10th class from Yadavindra Public School, Patiala. In 1989, he graduated in class 12th from Multani Mal Modi College in Patiala, Punjab. Vijay studied Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from BMS College of Engineering, Bengaluru.

Violation of Covid-19 norms

In 2022, Sangrur Police filed two chargesheets in two cases registered against Vijay Inder Singla. The first case under section 188 of the IPC and section 51 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 was registered at Sangrur police station on 12 February 2022. According to the FIR lodged against Vijay Inder Singla, Flying Squad team in-charge Rajinder Kumar had found Singla organizing a political rally of 70-80 people in violation of the rules. On 13 February, another case was registered under section 188 of the IPC, section 51 of the Disaster Management Act 2005. Singla talked about this in an interview and said,

I never knew about these cases registered against me for code of conduct violations, even though it has been six months since AAP was formed. However, I have full faith in the judiciary and will follow the orders of the court.
