Usher recalled that in previous decades, artists “[had] to, at some point, go through kitchens to even be able to perform in front of an audience,” he explained. “They had to go back out through that same door. Fearing for their lives as they went to the next state to do the same thing.” And he added: “So, I’m going to walk in the front door with this one.”
The “U Got It Bad” hitmaker will utilize his repertoire as well as compositions from music industry colleagues. “I didn’t start where I am now and I didn’t get there alone,” Usher noted. “So, everyone who has been a part of this, I take them with me. All my fans, my loved ones, the people who may have felt forgotten, they don’t. “I’ll take you with me when I go on stage that night.”
On February 11, Usher will take the stage during the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show presented by Apple Music. This electrifying performance will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas when the Kansas City Chiefs go head to head with the San Francisco 49ers.
