Tushar Dalvi was born in Pimpri, a suburb in Pune, Maharashtra. After completing his primary education from a local school, Dalvi enrolled himself into the Ness Wadia College of Commerce, Arts and Science to pursue his graduation. He did his post-graduation in management. He was good at arts since childhood and actively participated in the cultural activities in his college days. He also took part in Inter-collegiate drama competitions and state level meets. During the final year of college, he did a project with a foreign bank.

Tushar Dalvi started his acting career in 1992 with the Marathi romantic drama “Jivalaga.” His Hindi film debut came in the year 1997 with the film “Bandh Jharoke.” Next, he featured in the Marathi film “Bhet,” which revolves around the emotional tale of a mother and son reuniting. The film was both a critical and commercial success.
