Travis Kelce reveals what he said to Aaron Rodgers back in the Chiefs/Jets playing days before Aaron called him ‘Mr. Pfizer

Travis Kelce’s name has been in the headlines a lot for his rumored relationship with Taylor Swift, however, he also had a notable interaction with Aaron Rodgers.

In the Chiefs vs. Jets game on Sunday (Oct. 1), Aaron, who was on crutches after rupturing his Achilles tendon, had an on-field interaction with Travis before the game. Aaron was supposed to be the Jets’ starting quarterback this season, but that role now belongs to Zach Wilson while Aaron rehabilitates his ankle.

Fans noticed Travis and Aaron were interacting on the sideline and many wondered what was said.

Travis revealed on the New Heights podcast: “I just wanted to reach out to him, I didn’t text him or anything, I just wanted to reach out to him to tell him how excited everyone was and how bummed they were. We knew that he had been hit and needed surgery. Looking hard hits, it was electric to see what Aaron Rodgers was going to do with that team. And I don’t want to say they’re not going to be great because he’s not there, but I think having Aaron there would be a lot more entertaining for fans of the game like I am.”

Travis also shared, “But you hate to see the big guys get hurt, that’s for sure. I just went up to him and told him that we were all hurting for him and that I hope he recovers quickly.”

However, just hours before Travis’ quote was posted on the New Heights podcast, Aaron went on the Pat McAfee Show and called Travis “Mr. Pfizer”, which many took as a hint towards Travis. The reference is to Travis’ Pfizer vaccine commercial that has been airing.

On the show, Aaron talked about the Chiefs’ performance during their 23-20 win over the Jets. While the Chiefs won, the Jets put up a good fight. Aaron said of Travis’ performance during the game: “You know, Mr. Pfizer, we shut him down a little bit. He didn’t have, you know, the crazy impact game about him. Obviously he had some yards and stuff. But I felt like for the most part we played very hard on defense, except for the last three quarters,” he added.

If you don’t know, Aaron is one of 19 celebrities who refused to get the COVID-19 vaccine (including an Oscar winner, a Marvel star, and more).
